What population do you serve?
Early Bird Speech provides speech and language services to children 6 months to 12 years of age. We specialize in early language development, play development, motor speech disorders, and Gestalt Language Processing, with experience working with children with a wide variety of diagnoses, including Autism, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), articulation/phonology disorders, mixed expressive/receptive language disorders, and cognitive disabilities.
Where and when are services provided?
Early Bird Speech serves families in Brooklyn and Manhattan. We strongly believe in treating children in their most natural environment to elicit language and promote carryover of learned skills. Therefore, each session is tailored to your child's unique needs in the convenience of their home, school, or daycare center. We also offer teletherapy or consultations via video conferencing when necessary.
What is your cancellation policy?
While we understand that life takes unexpected turns, we ask that all cancellations be communicated to your Early Bird therapist at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours prior may be subject to billing. When possible, please provide advanced notice for planned absences so that appointments may be rescheduled!
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider; however, we can provide your family with the necessary paperwork to file with your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that we cannot guarantee reimbursement. Therefore, we highly recommend contacting your insurance company to answer any questions regarding out-of-network insurance coverage prior to initiating services. ​Download the attachment below for our out-of-network reimbursement guide.
